Save the world from perdition by fighting a variety of unlikely bad guys in this educational word game
Every language has something special about it, even if most of them are now incorporating modern words and phrases with no meaning in the original language. However, writing is still considered an art, because it takes talent to arrange words into sentences and make them convey thoughts and ideas. In order to write, on the other hand, you need to have a big vocabulary, otherwise your ideas won’t have the same impact.
Create words and use them to defeat your enemies
Bookworm Adventures Volume 2 is a puzzle game in which you have to pick from a pool of available letters and create words with them, words that are then used to attack your enemies. Naturally, the game aims to be both fun and educational, so the violence is entirely family-friendly and not at all traumatizing. In addition, you play the role of a geeky bookworm that dreams of saving the world.
As such, the story is quite ludicrous and amusing as well, in these sense that it makes you laugh and have a good time throughout the adventure. Hence, the bookworm must deal with a variety of potentially dangerous situations, by defeating the evil creatures standing in his way. There are no actual weapons involved, just words that can be used to neutralize the opponent.
Use power-ups to deal additional damage
Every once in a while, special letters appear on the board, which can be used to obtain bonuses on your next attack. These letters provide you with additional damage, or even poison, which deals damage over the course of a few rounds. However, you still need to fit these letters into a word, otherwise they are useless. If you get good enough at the game, that part should not be too complicated.
As far as the technical aspects are concerned, the game features colorful graphics and hilarious animations, all in the name of fun. Each character is nicely drawn, as are the environments, although they get a bit repetitive after a while. In addition, the soundtrack is entertaining as well, while the user interface is designed to be as intuitive and simple-to-use as possible.
Plenty of fun for Scrabble and puzzle lovers
Even if Bookworm Adventures Volume 2 seems like it was designed with children in mind, even adults can have a good time toying around with it. In fact, bigger and tougher words become more obvious if you are a bit older.
